Baby garter too small for pinky's

Hi my garter snake is too small for pinky's and has been eating night crawlers. Are the worms good enough for him to eat until he is bigger or do i need to do something else? thanks

In the wild your baby would be eating worms not pinkies. If you have pinkies you can clip off the leg and thigh/shoulder portion. Baby love them. If they won't take them scent them with worm slime and they will eat them. Some pinkies have very small heads, they can be removed and fed also. What is left can be minced up and fed or refrozen for when he gets bigger. Making a worm/pinky goulash is also a way to introduce mice. Minced Tipalia can also be added to the mix.
