    New girl (or boy), Ochre

    IMG_0117.jpgIMG_0118.jpg

I just got her a few days ago. Her subtle colours and bright red eyes (more visible in sunlight) are what immediately attracted me to her. I wouldn't think that she's very old at all, she measures in at about nine inches, certainly not much longer.

She's very curious and has calmed down greatly since the first time I handled her. And, as the title implies, I have no idea if she's actually a female. I've looked through the "Sexing Pics" thread many times, and I still barely even trust myself to sex an adult. If you think you could help out a bit with that, I can take some more pictures and post them.

I bought some earthworms for her, but she hasn't tried them yet. I'm going out to the pet store later in the week to get some fish for her. The guppies there are usually quite big, so I'll be getting a few little neon tetras just to get her started. I'll be moving to frozen silversides from there, with a few live treats on occasion, and maybe even move to pinky parts. I'd be glad to take some tips on how to make the worms more appealing for now.

Thank you all, and it's good to be back! After two years

Post up a good under side of the tail photo with the tail hanging straight done and we'll give it a go. Nice to see you back on.

Hi, and that's a good looking thamnophis you have there. Welcome back! I get vibes that it's a female from a gross observation. Was she a captive bred or wild caught?

She's wild caught. She just gobbled down a fish, and is looking very well I haven't been able to get a good picture of her underside yet, but I'll keep trying and post it as soon as I get one.
