I, too, hate cutting up pinkies--but mine came to me already eating pinkie parts, so I suffer. :P
Doing it frozen does seem to be less messy, yeah. I cut lengthwise and that seems to work fine for the size mine is currently.

As said before, cutting up pinkies is no worse than cutting up worms, actually easier since they don't move !

I don't know, worms won't have stray organs falling out...
When I cut up pinks I have to hide the act--and the results--from my husband or I get sad faces made at me.
