Yes, but I can't believe this snake was able to survive in my basement without care(food and water) when all other snakes in a similar situation often struggles or dies. It's possible but so very unlikely. This snake appears to be well fed and cared for.

Maybe this is an attempt by the rural T. s. parietalis - Red Sided Garter gang to move into the urban T. radix - Plains Garter territory. I think the two can live in harmony in my back yard.
