Brown snake

Hi all im new here. i have a question i hope someone can help with. My daughter found a small brown snake i think its a Dekay. can anyone confirm. If so would it make a good pet.

Yes that is a Dekayi. and they make awesome pets provided it will eat for you. Most will take worms (cut night crawlers) just fine, but some are fussy and want garden slugs.
