    AH my

    male red-sided still wont eat strips of salmon but when it comes to live fish he eats tons? should i like rub the live fish on the salmon strips to get him started?

    i give him whole fish on the weekend feeding time and salmon strips on the weekday feeding time

    sorta i got a large chunk for 4 dollars and cut it up into about 150 rosy minnow sized peices then froze them so i could keep it fresh

    Make sure if you feed a lot of salmon to give your snakes a multivitamin and calcium powder supplement every once in a while.

    Just read the labels, the calcium powder is pretty much all the same, and just look around for a reptile multivitamin on the shelves. I'm sure you can use the lizard stuff, I can't see how it could possibly hurt your snakes.

    That happened to my garter...so a transparent bowl (platic) with some male guppies get the attention of the snake, put the salmon stripes next to the bowl and she will smell them...in my case my snake was about 2 or 3 weeks without eating, she was on a full live fish diet (but parasites and surgery changed my mind), and that trick worked for me.
