hey guys i was handling Ekoh a little today i am trying to slow down she seems to get very agitated but no striking in her tank. well i think it was a muking it was pretty clear with a little urates i think (it hit a white linoleum floor) but the question is when they do that can you see the hemipenis when the tail lifts or is it a hit or miss because i looked (i feel like a perv now) and seen nothing but maybe an anus i really dont know thats what it looked like to me. i wasn't sure if Ekoh is male if he had to make it come out or if it can be held back or whatever. i don't know if i have explained everything for everyone to understand but i dont know

Musking usually doesn't produce prolapsed sex organs in a male.
If you post up some nice close, focused photos of the tail. vent/cloaca area we will do our best to sex him for you.

ok i just wasnt sure if they could hold it back or not but i will work on getting some pictures when handling her but it seem she is getting worse with the handling especially the first minute and then touching the cut bit of her tail. but looking at some pics i think i understand what to look at/for in the tails. i just noticed the slight indent right at the anal plate. but i will try some pics

from the picture im not 100% thats the best i can get right now Ekoh just laid there wrapped in my fingers he/she rarely does this. also Ekoh is getting a good bit of girth all her scales are still overlapping unless she is stressed like after i put her back and she is breathing hard and i can see little whitish/blue flecks.

ok thats what i had thought after looking the tail does look a little chunky there at the vent but thats the best i've seen it

Where did you come up with 10% number?

Can we get a few close photos of the injury? The one you posted for sexing purposes looks good as in no swelling or redness.

the bottle i bought is a 10% solution of povidone iodine(thats what i get from reading the bottle)i just wanted to know if i need to dilute and how long to soak it for. i will try to get some more pics tomorrow she is burrowed down in her bark for the night.

sorry for the long delay the internet just came back on huge areas was without cable or internet today since around noon (good thing i got a dvr thats 60 some % full lol)
