African soft fur rats as feeders?

I just purchased a small breeding colony of 2.6 ASF rats for my other snakes and I was wondering if I can feed off any surplus to my garters?

I've lost 2 snakes to being fur impactions. I only feed pinkies now.

They are not just snakes. They're garter snakes.

I tried soft furs for my garters but they wouldn't eat them.

I have used soft furs/multis before with my Rat Snakes and Cal Kings.

To be honest they are nothing special.

My advise: Stick with normal mice or rat pups.
