    Safe Tilapia?

I was looking at some tilapia I saw at Walmart, but I'm not sure if it would be ok. It says the ingredients are Tilapia and Carbon Monoxide(to maintain natural color). I wasn't sure if the CO would matter since it is a gas(I thought). I didn't buy any, just wondering.

I would say NO. I had a very bad experience with prepackaged frozen fish from Walmart.
I only buy my Tilapia from a fresh fish market.
Can you tell us where the Tilapia is from ?(Country of origin)

I actually hadn't thought of that, but I looked at the picture I took of the ingredients, it says product of China...

I wouldn't be bothered by a fish that is packaged in a protective atmosphere, most likely the fish that we buy at a fresh fish counter has been in a protective atmosphere at some point in the supply chain.

But in this case, the country of origin being China would be enough for me. All the fish fillets (salmon and trout) I use has been produced in Scotland.
