    Yayy, I'm a serious frog lover I'm raising some bull tads for the summer.. Those little black ones probably won't last long if they keep hanging out with the giant green ones. Bullfrog food= Smaller bullfrogs. lol

    there were what looked like thousands of the little black ones, and maybe fifteen or so big ones.

    As long as there is plenty of detritus available, the big tadpoles won't bother the little tadpoles.

    Here's a tip for you. If you keep them in shallow water that is relatively warm and not oxygenated, they will transform while they are still small. If you keep them in a filled aquarium with plenty of oxygen in the water, they will get huge and may take 2-3 years, and transform into much bigger froglets.

    I'm going for the second option so I can legally keep them in my dorm for awhile and then probably release them where I caught them once they transform and it's the right time of year.

    They do quite well in a basic unheated goldfish setup. After a year, mine sprouted back legs. After two years, front legs came. He stayed aquatic with 4 legs and transformed the third year.
