Cute little booger like my male, seems to be from Northern climes with a high dgree of melanism.

Yeah, the red is quite understated Is yours a little firecracker, too? 'Feisty' doesn't quite cover her personality

He's actually perfectly well behaved. He does have his 'little man syndrome' moments but I've actually only ever had a headbutt from him.

Ha ha ha ha! Love it.
I think Lily's actually becoming better behaved since going into this viv. I think she's much happier having a front door instead of an overhead one. The last two times she's been picked up, there's been no biting or musking.

They do like those front entrance enclosures. I too saw a great change in mine when I switched to them.

Nice viv! I know it's really hard to tell the difference between subspecies sometimes, but that snake looks an awful lot like some of my baby T.s. concinnus'. Which of course, don't look like a typical concinnus. They look more like little fitchii's. (I assure you they are pure T.s. concinnus however. Uncommon 3-stripe morph)

I sometimes have serious doubts about pet store and even breeder claims when they call their snakes "oregon red spotted" when often they are really T.s. fitchii that happen to be from Oregon. I also often see snakes called "red sided garter" when they are actually concinnus or fitchii.

Your snake looks an awful lot like a fitchii or 3 stripe morph concinnus.

That's a fitchii trait. Always nasty mean little boogers. That's why I never kept any long term. They were mostly ill adapted to captivity and had bad attitudes and liked to bite and musk.
