String of bad luck

Well I've had a male and female die on me over the summer. The female had convulsions, and I found her dead a couple days later. The male I'm putting down at the moment. The side of his face seems swollen, and he can't seem to open his mouth all the way. He's become lethargic, and I'd rather not have him suffer a slow death. So out of the group of five I bought, two have died, I'm hoping the other three will be fine.
