    Cleaner enclosure idea.

I don't know if anyone has done it here, but I know with tarantulas plenty of people utilize isopods as kind of a clean up crew in their cages. They basically just go around eating waste and I think would be good for a naturalistic type enclosure. Of course it would need a decent amount of moisture, but I know some people have a half water half land thing goin on in. So has anyone ever done it? Any thoughts or comments on it?

I use them in my Box Turtle setup. They work great until the turtle eats them all! I don't have a natural setup for my Garters but if I did I would use them there also.

I had searched for "isopod" before I posted and that didn't come up. Strange.

Haha, luckily my spiders don't really pay much attention to them. I keep them with my roach colony to keep the smell down a bit. They're great little janitors.

I keep them in my dart frog vivaria. They not only act as a clean up crew, but their offspring are a great adjunct to the frogs' diet.
