    Philodendrons

Everyone has a different opinion of planting these with snakes. Personally, I have them with my snake. But, if it bites the plant, will it be posioned? I have never had any issues, but if someone else has, I would like to hear about it.

The philodendron is poisonous, but I think u have to break the leaves...

If I remember correctly, they have to eat the leaves to be poisoned. I don't think this is a problem with garter snakes - cats and dogs will chew on them and eat them.

I don't think a Garter snake striking at food and hitting the plant(leaf or stem) would create a problem. It's not like they are going to crew on it and swollow any. That being said it is still toxic and the risks are still there.

They are not just snakes. They're garter snakes.
