    Backyard blood drive

I must really love my snakes. We had a rainstorm come through the area late this afternoon and I knew it would be a good night to get a few dozen night crawlers. Not only did I get my worms but I think I gave a pint or two of blood. I hope my scrubs understand the things I go through for them.
Can't use any deet or I have an allergic reaction and I'm not carrying my EpiPen on a worm hunt.

They are not just snakes. They're garter snakes.

Think of it this way... After sucking your blood, those momma mosquitoes are going to go lay eggs in nearby ponds and streams, and the larvae will feed the fishies and tadpoles that will in turn feed this spring's baby garters, ensuring a healthy local population to keep the Radix Ranch stocked...

(Have you tried Skin So Soft, BTW? Works really well for some people, and no DEET.)
