    blowin bubbles

My garter snake Sugar sure loves nightcrawlers! However I notice that sometimes bubbles come out of the sides of his mouth the moment he eats them, and one even blew out of his nostril. This does not happen when he eats fish or at any other time & happy and healthy as a clam otherwise..Is this OK? Any ideas?
    Cheers

Worms release watery slime as a defense. I observe the same thing in my radixes when they eat worms. Not all worms release the same amount and some don't release any at all. I think a lot depends on whether the snake sinks their teeth in. Some worms never have time to release it since they crawl down the throat so quickly as a way of avoiding the pain from the teeth.
I don't think it's something to worry about.

It's not anything to worry about, its just the worm slime getting all over the plce, just as the worm intends it to!!!
