    Saved a failed shed: Pics

I came home from my Iaido practice and found Bucephalus finally shedding. Unfortunately, the skin was a little shredded and had stopped peeling back at eye level.. Luckly, I just recently learned what to do!

I put her in our gecko's shed box and the skin came off perfectly from the neck down.

    I've got some pictures too...

Nice job, Hannah . You learn quickly . Just be sure to double check that the spectacles came off with the skin around the head.

Wow! Were you at MY house today? Lol. Zuki shed today, too. I was so excited to catch it. He/she was having a little trouble with the tail, but after a good soak it came off easily.

Already checked. Everything came off the head fine. It was mostly the underside that was torn up.. But she was not happy when I found her.

Our gecko actually had eyes shedding problems, so we've been using these humid hides, and boy do they come in handy.

I was mostly excited because I actually caught her sheddig for once. Not in time for last month's Photo contest anyway.

    So sorry - I don't have pictures . . .
Samantha, my Plains Garter also shed today.
I found her all bright-eyed and velvety-looking the tip of her tail just pulling away from the shed, which was still wet.
I'd been worried that she'd have a bad shed because of the vet visit yesterday.
Usually I don't handle the snakes much when they're this close to shed.
Wow, three sheds in a day. We should see whether they're in sync next time.
