    Highlights from the Georgia Aquarium

About two weeks ago, we visited Atlanta, and one of our days was spent at the Georgia Aquarium. Here are highlights.

Here are three more... the bottom photo is of a Whale Shark... the largest fish in the world. It is hard to gauge his size, until you realize that the silver fish in the foreground is as long as my arm! The Baluga Whales were particularly entertaining... one of them was constantly rubbing the glass as he swam by... he was obviously aware of the onlookers, and showing off!

The grouper in the photo below is almost as large as I am. The African Cichlids are a colorful group... and the guy at the bottom has such a weird shaped head!

The jellyfish were particularly beautiful! That's not my kid... just someone who was especially enchanted with them. And the reef gives you some idea of the size of many of the exhibits... in fact, the reef is one of the smaller ones!

Simply amazing, Kitkat! I see a fair number of belugas, but not from underwater. I'm amazed at the curvature of their spine on a power stroke. Thanks for sharing,
