    My new female...

    Since yesterday I finally have my first female (next week I get a second) T. s. tetrataenia. Look how pretty she is.

    That is right. I find it strange that it is not allowed in the US and that everywhere else in the world there is no problem with it.
    It would help to save this subspecies when American gartersnakekeepers were allowed to keep. For example with a good-organised license scheme.
    And some "new" blood would be welcome.
