Babies wont eat

Hey guys, a couple days ago my female gave brith to about 20-30 baby garter snakes. I've been trying to feed them but nothing is working, I've tried cut up worms and salamanders and will eventually try pinkies. I've been taking them out of their current tank and placing them in small plastic containers with the worms, but they wont eat them. Even the squirming salamander tails dont interest them HELP!!

ok sorry for the complete change of topic but my female garter had like 30 babies over the weekend and I cant get them to start eating so if someone could help it would mean alot to me and the baby garters, thanks.

What kind of garters are they?Sometimes it's a little tricky at first with little garters. I would stick to worms,guppies, and pinkys. Most of the time when it's hard to get them to eat worms or pinkys they will go for guppies. Don't worry too much they should start eating in a few days just make sure they have fresh water. There is something about the smell of fish that is hard for them to resist most of the time. Good luck with the little guys. I hope you can post pics soon. Keep us posted on the outcome.

It takes them a while to start eating. Mine didn't eat until 2 weeks after they were born. Don't worry too much, keep offering food and they'll take it when they're hungry.
