So I guess pretty much anything goes. Just "catch" your snake or wild snake in a natural resting / basking position?

I guess so. As long as you didn't try to get the snake to do something in that picture.

In-situ: In its natural or original position or place; in position.

It is a term used primarily when field herping describing an animal that is in its natural position and not manipulated at all. I had to modify the context to include everyone, so I included in-situ as well as non-posed snapshots.

OK, I think I get it. Thanks for clarification. Now if I can only manage to get in the field early enough so the snakes will be sitting still...

Just for the record, I thought that the "does this stick make me look fat" by Mommy2many was the best caption for May 2010.

@ Boots: Thanks for the new layout with the photo contest poll. That was great being able to see each photo and username right there in the poll thread.

Since each user is allowed more than one entry in the caption contest, I'd like to see WHICH caption drew the most votes. That would be nice. Can we make that happen?
