Angry Slithers is driving me nuts!!!

The little blighter is still trying to court Xerxes ... it's nothing short of rape. It's coming up to just past 3 weeks since I placed them together and Slithers is still convinced that Xerxes is female ... of course he hasn't eaten during this time either ... if he hasn't calmed down by next week I'm putting him on the naughty step aka brumation. Hope it might cure his obsession

He did this before with J http://www.thamnophis.com/forum/gene...rs-weirdo.html ... males do sometimes emit female hormones to confuse other rivals ... but the episode with J only lasted for a few days ... he's just too full of testosterone me thinks.

Well, it has been observed in about 1500 species so far.

But like stated earlier, some garters (red-sided garters specifically) can pretend to be females.

I've seen a bit of this amongst my young male radix.... Almost as though they're practising! It's like they have the urge, but they're too young to know what to do with it!
