Whiteboard = at a glance records

I've been using a whiteboard in the snake room for about 9 months now, and as it helps me I thought I'd share the idea. Also, I've just cleaned down all the scribbles and transferred them to paper, so the board isn't looking like such a mess.
It's not a replacement for the weight and shed records I keep because it can only hold so much information. But if I'm in the room and wondering when a particular snake last shed, or feeding and wondering if one of them ate at the last feed, I can see at a glance.

    So here's my snake board:

It just lists the snake (split by species), has a column for sheds, a column for feeds, and the notes column I tend to use to scribble down weights. I can fit the last 2 or 3 sheds and feeds in the boxes, and the notes can hold at least 4 weights. As I've cleaned the board down there's just the last of each item copied back, ready to build up more info over the next few months.

With 13 snakes I find it useful, it probably wouldn't work as well for more than 20, and wouldn't be worthwhile if you only have a couple. It works for me so I thought it may be useful for others.

Looks like it is time for a bigger board.

I do something very similar, but with a smaller collection, a large calendar works well. There's usually enough space on any given day for me to scribble notes on whoever eats/sheds/ect.

Good way to keep records! That would be impractical for me though. I'd probably get lazy. Multiply that by the amount of snakes I've got, and I'd need a pretty big board!

Nice to see someone with a decent record of their animals!

    Ditto to whiteboard!

Helps me keep track of mating, sheds, feeding, and random comments!

Not having one in the new house yet, I just use whiteboard markers to write on the glass... Works great, looks crap

I'd not thought about writing on the glass. Maybe because it would look like crap
I wager that your whiteboard is bigger than mine which just has to accommodate 13.

Guess again, only a small board

I just realised though, I might need to get a new (and bigger) one as I think someone took it when we seperated

There's always a silver lining, you can go bigger and better now.
