I'm crushed...

Guys... the Flame that I caught last year on the farm is missing. I found her tank empty a few days ago, clamps still intact... and she's nowhere to be seen. She's little... our house is HUGE and it's been about 5 days with absolutely no sign of her. I am highly afraid that I may never see this snake again

I have tore the snakeroom apart every day, left things laying on the floor for her to hide under, and I've gone all around the house and basement (which the entrance to it is RIGHT by the snakeroom door... with my flashlight. If she got into the basement she's as good as dead... it's huge and full of stuff... so much heavy stuff that I won't even be able to move it around.

Let's hope she is as smart as the baby rat snake who escaped and lived for 3 months off of crawling into the dishwasher to drink (that's where my mom found him!) and hiding inside the rubber hinge.

One way I lure the wild snakes that occasionally find their way into my living room is with a heating pay with a damp (not wet) towel over it under a cardboard box. They can't resist, but maybe that's because they're not used to having such spots readily supplied to them. I'd try setting that up in every room of the house and see if you eventually hit on the place she's at. Good luck!
