    northern ringneck

I found a northern ringnek underneath my daughters sandbox this afternoon. He was extremely tame after a few short musks, very yellow belly with a solid ring around his neck. I done some internet research and now have it setup in a 12 quart sterelite tub with some moistened sphagnum moss for substrate, a few fake leaves for hiding, and a water dish. He is very beautiful and I would like to try and keep him. I have never kept any kind of ringneck so I greatly apperciate any info on food items and a tips on keeping them in general. And yes THE PICS ARE COMING I know how everybody loves pics but I'm going to give the guy a chace to rest for a little bit.
livin it reptile and loving every minute of it

Captive Ringnecks do well on worms and small Salamanders. Be a little cautious of too much humidity as they are prone to getting blisters.

I am having a hard time getting mine to eat anything.. Been about a week and a half for one and a week for the other.. Tried slugs, worms, crawlers no luck. If I can not get them to feed soon I am going to release them. They both had a perfect shed just the other day maybe they will eat now... Let me know if you have any luck.

    Goodluck!
