A Noble Task

Tonight, I fed some new babies and also fed some old babies. As I passed out little chunks of worms to these beautiful creature, I couldn't help but think. Most of these awesome snakes would have probably been dead by this time if they were out in the wild. Instead, they are growing and thriving in the safety of my home.
What I'm doing isn't unique. Many forum members are in the process of doing the same thing or are preparing to do so.
This thing we do is wrapped up in these little lives that have been untrusted to us.
I applaud everyone who takes the time to see that they have a chance at life.
That protect and shelter them in a world of snake haters. Who talk to others about the wonders of garter snakes.
Give yourselves a well deserved pat on the back
Sitting and watching those little faces stuff themselves with food was very satisfying.

"old babies" that's kinda funny even though I know what you meant. I'll pat myself on the back later for all those yearling concinnus I raised and released (150 count, 1 year-old's released) in the past, but I need to wash the snake poop, worm slime, and fishy smell off of my hands first.
