I came home today and when I looked in my aquarium there were all these baby redsided garter snakes!!!!She is Still giving birth so tomorrow I will have a count. Really excited!! There were about 15 or 20 when I looked. And the mom looks fine. Will try to have pictures soon!

Congrats.
Do you have something setup for the babies. Be sure to keep the hydrated. I always give my babies a warm bath before placing them in an enclosure.
This way I'm certain they have all shed.Steve

She is done! She gave birth to 29 baby garter snakes. One never made it out of the sack... So there are 28 baby snakes now. The mom is doing fine. Some are redsided like the mom. Others are checkered which is what the dad must have been. Others I'm not really sure they look like redsided ones but don't have the red. Any thoughts on that would be great! I have to get pics from a different camera this iPod is not working!!! I'll try and hurry.

Congrats! Some may need 3-6 months before they show their adult coloration. Pictures will help identify what the male was.
