Standard 20 gallon or the long version? I have my 6 garters in a 20 long, but they were born last year and need to be split up soon. One adult female or 2-3 adult males would probably be the most you want in there.

The answer depends on what size snakes are going in.

I have 3 smallish males in a 20gal and two 20+inch males in another.

Ive had all 5 in one and it worked ok, problems were feeding and cleanup.
