    A true blessing

My friend Christine called me about an hour ago saying she had something for me and asking if she could bring it over. She seemed pretty excited.
Well, a little while ago she stopped by and gave me one of the only things that could put a smile on my face right now.

She found this amazing eastern garter in her flowerbed while she was weeding this morning. Her mom was going to cut it in half with a rake but Christine stopped her. She begged her mom if she could keep it so she could give it to me, and her mom said yes. I'm so thankful to have a friend as great as her.

This girl is as preggo as they get. She's unbelievably tame and is already eating worms right out of my hand. I feel privileged to have a second chance at babies this season, and I know what I'm going to name one of them for sure.

Oh. Because you know, it seems to me that, aside
from being a little mentally ill, she's pretty normal.

That's great. I'm glad she didn't get killed. More than 1 snake would have been put to death. Now, Mom and babies will have a chance at life. Great save.
Tell Christne we are all proud of her.

Wonderful! Nice markings, too - nice when there are subtle shadings of red, blue, etc.
