    Smile Thunder.x.Tiger

Hi! My name is Brianna or just call me by my username if that is easier to remember.

I own a dog, Star and two garter snakes, Tiger and Thunder.

This summer of 2009, I caught two adult garter snakes to just take care of for a week and surprisingly one of them had babies! So i'm giving all of them but mine away. I had to let the two adults go of course. My friend and I also saw a red garter snake, but we're still not sure what type of snake it was, it didn't look like a red sided but it had a red face and red belly.

I wanted to join this forum because I really love garter snakes. I think they are soooo cool!

    Thanks!

Welcome! Garter snakes are addictive, aren't they?

Very nice to have you with us Brianna. We would love to see your snakes so don't hestitate to post a couple photos.
If we knew what area of the country you are from we might be able to identify that red snake for you.

Well, I live in Ontario, Canada and my friend and I were going for a walk in the country and we saw a garter snake in the middle of our driveway and it had lots of red on it, it's face and it's belly, I tried to catch it to take a pic of it but my dog scared it off into the bush.
