    Red vs. Blue

One heck of a nice box from Joe... I recieved today a normal and 2 female flames from the one-eyed erythristic flame (now belongs to Don). I didn't get any pics because at 10 at night using my phone, pics of baby flames just aren't gonna work out. But I did get phone pics of the other 2 arrivals!

Carmen, the Surf City erythristic came to me today... She's on -fire-. This is a long term captive animal and She was so kind as to give my mom a pleasant experience. She's got a serious 'tude, and since I was at work I spent a good few hours texting my mom, trying to convince her that she can put "the big mean red one" into a critter keeper and she won't hurt her. This snake pikes to HISS! And thrash herself wildly about. Well I finally convinced my mom to just "pour" her into a critter keeper and I got this text message:

"Ok I dumped her she flew up out I grabbed her and she tried to bite me and she peed on me. It smells and now I have to shower. Never ever ever again!"

    Can you just say LOL!?!?

So here is Carmen in some crappy phone pictures.

And the other super exciting thing is this blue racer!!!! Woweeeeee she's even more beautiful and blue than I thought she would be. Already has eaten f/t and I am sure she will settle in quickly. She's also about halfway through being gravid, there's somewhere between 4 and 8 eggs in there! These are not available captive bred, heck you don't even ever see WC specimens for sale.... But hoping for a healthy captive born clutch to get the ball rolling.

That is all I just had to brag a little.... I am too excited about Carmen and Blueberry . my mom's a very original snake-namer, as soon as I Pulled out the blue racer she said... That one's name is Blueberry. Because she looks like one.
Mother of many snakes and a beautiful baby girl! I am also a polymer clay artist!

Both are stunning, but it's amazing the strength of Blueberry to balance a cat on her neck like that !

Wow that blue racer is STUNNING! I love that shade of blue, my absolute favourite colour. It has gone on my "to buy" list for when I move to Michigan

    Pretty snakes!
Is that blue racer a different snake then a yellow bellied racer or is that just a color variation?
