    Another albino radix

While visiting my local Pet Shop I was approached by a guy who had over heard me talking about garter snakes(imagine that). He said that he caught a albino garter snake in his yard. He said it looked so cool he kept it. Said he was feeding it worm and pinkies.
I gave the guy my information and told him I would love to take a look at it. I told him I was looking for a mate for my female. He said that if it was a male he would let me breed it to my female and all he wanted was a couple babies.
I hope he will call me soon. I'm of course hoping it's a male radix. He lives in Nebr. so it should be compatible with mine. Can't be more than 10 mile between the 2 finds.

They are not just snakes. They're garter snakes.

That might explain why albinos have been produced in captivity. Perhaps the gene is relatively common in the wild?

concinnus on the other hand, have obviously been in the trade for some time, but show me one albino.
