    new garter owner

    Hi there! i bought my first Garter snake from the ihs show in doncaster and iv never owned 1 before and i am used to corn snakes. this forum looks like it will be very helpful! im not 2 sure what morph he is but i know he is a psycho male (every time i try to handle he tries eating me!) hopefully some1 will recognise what he is from these pictures ...

    there was a table full of garters and ribbons and they wer selling for £10!! couldnt believe my eyes. hes a gorgeous little bugger when he chills out but getting him 2 the point where hes in my hand and not trying 2 take a chunk out of me is a bit of a struggle! i dnt think hes been handled much or is this a normal thing in garters?
    Doncaster show was mainly corns, boas and leopard geckos you didnt miss much

    Sometimes they're a bit nervous at first... biting is fairly unusual (though not unheard of).
    I figured the show would be all Corns etc.... that's why I didn't bother.
