    I'm probably worried over nothing...

Okay, so yesterday I noticed a spot on Houdini's stomach. It's kind of brown, and there's another very tiny one just above it. The scute is slightly roughed up at the edge where the spot is. I'm sort of worried that it might be some sort of blister... On the other hand, could it just be a little cut or something?
His eyes are starting to go blue, so I'm probably going to wait a few days and see if it sheds out before I post any pictures or get too worried about it. I did put a little neosporin on it earlier though (hey, it can't hurt).

I get really paranoid about anything being wrong with him (even worse since my frog decided to regurgitate his own stomach within five minutes of me discovering the spot ) and it does look vaguely similar to some pictures of a blistered snake that were posted not too long ago.. Do cuts normally turn brown like that? Am I just worrying over nothing?

I wouldn't worry until he sheds. It sounds like it could just be some kida crap stuck on him. Pictures would help, but done worry too much yet.

If you're not already doing so I'd place him on paper towel for now and continue the neosporin until he sheds. I wouldn't stress him with pics if he's in blue right now, but after he sheds pics would be very useful.

Oh. Because you know, it seems to me that, aside
from being a little mentally ill, she's pretty normal.

Alright, I'll go ahead take out all the cage accessories other than a water bowl.. His substrate is just balled up bits of papertowel anyway, so should that be fine? Also, would it be good to put neosporin on it several times a day? He's constantly moving, so it probably gets rubbed off fairly quickly...

I've gotten a really good look at it, and it's definitely not something stuck on him.
If it doesn't shed out I'll post pictures, but I'm hoping that won't have to happen.

Make sure the tank is clean, and do not let him sit in the water dish. Water and bacteria from feces will only make it a lot worse.

it sounds like some kind of minor case of scale rot
make sure his cage stays dry, and if you notice him soaking a lot, only let him have the water a couple of times a day for drinking

It's good that he's in shed. Probably taking care of the problem himself.
I'm guessing things will look a lot better after the shed.

Thanks for the advice, I'll go ahead and take the water out. He's not shy about drinking whenever it's offered, so that won't be a problem. I'll keep you posted on how he's doing.
