    Question Smelt question

I found a UK rather cheap place to buy frozen mice and fish, is this smelt ok? has any one tried it, the exact breed of fish is not on either list for Thiamine safe or unsafe, although one of the Osmerus is on the unsafe list but different second name.
    .
The Smelt or Spiering (Osmerus eperlanus) occurs in fresh and in salt water. Our smelt is about 6 to 9 cm big and is caught in the Ijsselmeer in the Netherlands.

    Re: Smelt question

This is from the care sheet and safe(thiaminase-free) fish list.

Smelt or "silversides" (Hypomesus olidus)(arctic pond. Also known as silversides, usually frozen available in pet stores)
