    New to Forum (pics)

I just found this forum and thought I would contribute a few pics of wild Thamnophis.

Some Puget Sound Garters (Thamnophis sirtalis pickeringii)

A colorful Valley Garter from Central Washington (Thamnophis sirtalis fitchi)

An exceptionally bright Red Spotted Garter (Thamnophis sirtalis concinnus).

A California Red-sided Gaters (Thamnophis sirtalis infernalis).

Amazing photos! Seems to me these subjects would be easy to spot with their colors. Our Easterns blend in nicely with their surroundings and are very difficult to see

Thanks for the warm welcome! We are quite spoiled here on the West Coast. Unfortunately, it's going to be a long winter.

Welcome! What a great way to introduce yourself!

Dang, that concinnus sure is bright. Hurts my eyes.

You can check out http://www.thamnophis.com/forum/gene...s-garters.html if you would like to see several other morphs of that subspecies. Yes, that's a blue concinnus in my avatar!
