Up here in Portland Oregon the snakes have began to move, This is outside a Den site frequented by Thamnophis ordinoides and Thamnophis sirtalis concinnus, I've also found Northern Alligators, Ensatina, Rough skin newts, Oregon red legged frogs, Bull Frogs...damn and unidentified turtles in the area. I'm sure there could be Sharp tails, Ringnecks and Rubber Boas but have yet to find any.

I stood and watched 10-15 garters cruising in and out of the hole you can barely see.



And both species competing for the best basking spot.

Redspot has been missing for some time now. Maybe we should update him? ever since he posted about the weird looking concinnus, I ran right out to find them and I did! Thanks for the tip Redspot!

In addition to his missing post I can also NOT find my original post showing the hypoanery's. It was posted on March 20. Can't find it to save my life.

P.S. I am seeking out ordioides with the red stripe EXACTLY like the picture you posted. I've found hundreds of snakes so far but no red stripers. GIMMIE!

Sounds like redspot, odie, and myself need to get together and go garter herping this season. For sure. We are so close to each other and the snakes in those photos.

I'm really surprised that nobody commented on the color of that concinnus in the photo he posted back in FEB. You know the one. Where's the red? where's the orange for that matter?
