In remote area with no snake vets around. Need advice

I have a planes Gardner shake. It's a beautiful blue/green multi striped snake. It's gorgeous!
The snake has a swollen area just past its head. About an inch n a half down. It looks like it was squashed or something. It's side is open but nothing is bulged out. It was bleeding when I found it but not now.
I have it in a glass jar. I don't want to keep it, just help it if it need it. All advice would be appreciated.

Get it in a larger area with a nice water supply. Sounds like an injury. A photo would be great and very helpful for advice purposes.

This is the best pic I could get without handling it. Witch I did not want to do because I don't want to stress it out.

You can also look for certified reptile rescue clinics. They usually have access to exotic veterinarians. Your local zoos also is another option.

Thanks for posting the photo but something better is needed. Don't be too worried about the minor stress in getting a photo. I really couldn't see much in the photo you provided. Is the bump between the lateral stripe and the dorsal stripe?

Anyone else getting a Ribbon Snake vibe from that photo? That slim head and slim neck area says Ribbon(T. proximous?), also the description "blue/green" May I ask what State you're are in?

Yep! Looks like T. Proximus. There is quite a bit of blur in the photo and can't really appreciate the swelling/ lump.

I am on the Texas Louisiana northern border by Shreveport.
I guess the injurys were to sever. It passed about an hour after I posted the picture.

I HATE it when they die.

Several years ago, a complete stranger on the street handed me an injured pigeon. I did the best I could for the little bird, but it was gone the next morning. Still sad thinking about that.
