Hi, I'm new too. I don't have a garter snake yet, but I am currently thinking seriously about getting one, and am searching for a Canadian source. I kept a wild baby for a week and managed to fall in love with garter snakes, and am now looking for a permenant snake. Apart from liking snakes, I keep and sometimes breed tropical fish (I currently have about 30 baby cherry barbs) and grow houseplants. I have just finished my biology degree and am very happy about the fact that I can finally have pets again.
