    Just one more!

As part of my morning chores I have to go wake my adults Radixs that live in the basement. This is a great time for me since I take about 15 minutes to drop the front of the enclosure and interact with this group. Sitting on the floor puts me at eye level and these guys come right out to see what I have for them. They have become so trusting. It is made-up of a few WC and CB. This morning I walked into the room and found a Radix on the floor. It wasn't one of mine and it was obvious it hadn't eaten in awhile. I fired up another tank and got him settled in. He was really thirsty. Now, just hoping he will start eating soon. "Life is good"

Sigh.... I went to do my chores this morning, walked out the front door and stepped in turkey poop. Now how come I couldn't have found a garter instead?? LOLOL!!!!

Steve, I really hope he does well for you! Send pics!! Your guys must have a hidden sign out front, and tunnels into your basement. Kind of like The Great Escape, but in reverse. :-)

    Your a radix magnet Steve...

I was going to say I wish we had Radix here in NY, but then it occurred to me that they would not be so "unique" if they were a local species.

It's not unusual to find one or two in the basement every winter but not this late in the season. I do think somethings going on since during spring, summer and fall I have wild Radixs that come out to be hand fed. Some people feed the squirrels. I feed the Radix

It's the unseasonably warm weather Steve. I never thought abot "wild" snakes habits till recently, now I worry some have come out in the last couple day's and may not make it bak before it cools back off.

Congrats on the new addition. I can't believe you didn't get pics tho

We get them every fall and spring, sometime during the winter, too.

There has been one that likes the window sill behind the oil tank this winter. I have seen it often, but can't reach it. Guess I need to update the above thread with pictures of that one....

    Kris,

You made me feel so guilty. Here's a photo. As you can see he's lean and will need some TLC. He's come to the right place.

Oh. Because you know, it seems to me that, aside

    Re: Just one more!

    Great news,

He's already had his first meal and it was hand fed. He's probably been up visiting the others when I'm not down there. Considering he been looking in on my females. My girls probably say "Hey, big boy!"
