    brumation

I was wondering if anyone only hibernates their garters for two months instead of the full three and still get a breeding response?

I would be one of those. This year I only brumated them 2 months. A few only got a month and a half and still bred.

    Re: brumation

My florida blues 'opted' to brumate themselves for 2 months exactly. I left them in their vivs and with the low ambient temp in the room the cool end dropped to about 15C. They chose to go off food by themselves and spent the majority of their time at the cool end of the enclosure.
Keeping - 'Florida blue' sirtalis, concinnus, infernalis, parietalis, radix, marcianus and ocellatus.
