Michelle, of course you can stay in the forum . This is a place to talk about Garters, not necessarily own them.

I have to agree, you are welcome to stay even if you don't have a garter. You might start considering them. Can't guarantee that all of us will have something to contribute if you start asking advice on the subject of keeping Storerias. I might have a few questions myself.

You're very welcome here, Michelle, Garters Snakes or no Garter Snakes. Please make sure to post more photos of your little Brown Snake. They're lovely snakes and not difficult to care for. I'm betting pretty soon you'll have a couple of Garters too!

Michelle: I made the same mistake (page 7 "baiting snakes" thread). They are very very nice little snakes, and I don't think they get very big. Have fun.

    Re: northern brown snake

    geee thanks you all
it has been very dry here, and we just got a blast of rain , so far we have seen a northern water snake and a ribbon snake as well. right here in the city, its amazing how big the water snake was he was 3 feet long, and the ribbon was 2 and very thin. but not in an unhealthy way..
so to day while I am out looking for mushrooms I am hoping to spot him again, we live near a big park with a small lake.
    very cool..
kids love it as do I..
this time I am going to take the digital camera
on another note about the brown snakes , they are very easy to tame as well.
mine will eat right from my hand and I put him on a slick sheet and he gets daily excersize , he just moves his body and never gets the grip so its like a snake tred mill. you can hear the cheezy chase music in your head whilst he is doing this , toooo funnny!!!!!
    bye
