While I was watching the local news today at around 5:20PM Pacific time, we experienced a minor earthquake here in SW WA. Centered in Clark County, WA, 11 miles north of Vancouver, WA. 2.7 magnitude. It was nothing really. Just a very short and weak jolt. My dogs totally freaked out but got over it quickly.

To give you an idea of why I alwas mess up the videos from my iPhone, is, first, it's an iPhone. Hard to do.

Two, like I've said, I can't view these embedded videos. Which means I can't see what I post, I just have to hope it works. So it's a white blank space regardless for me, I just have to hope it's not for you guys.

Sniff. I miss our crappy, old peice o' crap-ain't-worth-a-crap computer. And I'll keep missing it for a whole freakin' month! It's PAINFUL!

It needs to be under $500, and until October, has to be under $300... so we're waiting.

Just about any desktop will be under $500 these days, even with everything including monitor. Personally I'd rather build one for around $289 than pay $450 for it already built.

A little word of advice. Stay with a 32 bit OS, no more than 3GB ram, and don't waste your money on quad core such as the 2.8ghz X 4 i7 processor. Believe it or not, even being 3 years old, mine outperforms it at 3.2 X 2.

Go for fewer cores (2 or 3) and higher Mhz. Unless you have applications that actually use more than 4GB of ram (hardly anyone does) there's no point in going 64 bit for your OS unless you actually need ridiculous amounts of ram. It will only make a lot of apps incompatible with your (64 bit) OS. It's not worth it.
