i have just never felt like this..... i have never been fully responsible for killing somthing.... i think that's why it hurts so bad...... i just wish i had brought them in with me..... and the stupidest part is that i thaught about bringing them in and then decided not to......

but please.... please... don't feel bad for me... if you must feel bad feel bad for them.... the 15 perfect souls.... that lived such a short life....

Shanley, I'm so sorry. Yes, cherish the memory of these little ones, but don't be afraid to love again. Also, don't be too hard on yourself. We all make mistakes, learn from it and move on. I don't mean to sound harsh or uncaring.

Shanley, while there may have been something you did, there may also have not been. It''s probably a comibination of the two.

Now, look. You need to STOP the "but please.... please... don't feel bad for me..." crap. OF COURSE I feel bad for you! You're kind'a like a far away friend of mine. Let's just say/pretend the death of those babies was entirley your fault. Why would I feel less sorry for you than them? You can feel, think, reason. Yes, they may be gone, but you're still here and it's YOU that needs the comfort and feeling bad for.

You did not "kill" them in that you deliberately killed them in that you stepped on them, broke their necks - you know what I mean. Stop the "never been fully responsible for killing somthing."

Get a grip, look at things realistically and realize you tak on too much responsiblity for things you amy or may not have control over.

And FORGET whatever your siblings or anyone else things. Build your ego and keep telling yourself, "I'm okay. I'm a good person." Learn, believe it, and then don't give a ratz *** whatever anyone else thinks. What the hell do they or us know anyway? Opinions are just that, opinions. If you don't take them on (let others control you) you're in control of yourself!

By the time you get to be my age (never mind what THAT is!) you're going to be a pro and you'll look back on this - with sorrow and prolly still some pain - and realize how far you've come and what you didn't know back then (now).

Whenever any of us winds up with a litter of newborns, there is the risk of something, anything going wrong.

When my little speedy man died, I cried like a baby, a big 42 year old baby. I starved him to death! (a couple of years ago now)

But what I learned from it has made me a better snake keeper.
