Perhaps you could freeze it down to a point where it won't move much, but just a little, then let the T go at it.

You'll lose the feeling after they poop on you a couple more times. ^^
Fortunately my bigger roaches *A. tesselata, G. portentosa, B. craniifer, B. fumigata, etc* don't do this and hence are still high on the cuteness factor. :P

Kyle, I need some more advice. Is there an easier way to catch these things??? LOL They are so darn fast, and can dive right down into the carefresh; what's your technique??!! Is there a better type of tong to offer them to the tarantula on... they are hard to hold and I think I squooshed one before she grabbed it... I don't want to squoosh them!!!!

Also, I have so many babies and adolescents... :-) When would that 10 gallon tank be considered overcrowded?? When do I know to move some to another tank?? What do I do when I have 35 tanks full of roaches and we've even started cooking them with pasta and there are still too many??

Here's Tatiana enjoying her lunch yesterday:

    Thanks Kyle!

I usually grab them by the gap between the pronotum and wings. As far as colony size, seeing as they don't fly, you can continue to go upwards with crates and etc. When you start seeing alot of adults and adolescents during the day, it's time to upgrade.

Re: Zephyr's Amazingly Awesome Roach Thread

Generally, your overall house temps would have to be over 80 to get an infestation. Lobsters usually hang around a bit, but you won't get infested.
Another perk of tropical roaches. ;D
