Anyway, check this out. this is an animation of the 2017 eclipse. Looks like it will be quite impressive, no matter where you are in North America. I can't believe it. Twice in a lifetime. (assuming I'm alive in 6 years) Awesome! Notice the little black dot travels right though the Portland area. I'll probably in CA though, but still!

Why wouldn't you be alive in 2017, Richard?

True... But I don't see why he wouldn't, really. Anything can happen, including him living long past the life expectancy of a normal human. Weirder things have happened imo.

The black dot is the very center of the shadow. The closer you are to that black dot, the closer you are to a complete and total black out of the sun. Anywhere else, like close to the edges of the shadow, it won't completely block out the sun. At it's peak there will still be a slight sliver of sun left near the outer edges of the shadow.

Maybe twice in a lifetime for you too Jesse. Next one is August 2045. In order to see it for a third time in my life, I will have to make to 75 years old. Not out of the question. 3 times. Beat that! All you need to catch up is one Halley's comet and multiple volcanic eruptions in North America and you will be all caught up to me. Almost.

A powerhouse bad-as PC is dirt cheap these days too! right now you can spend as little as $450 to get a very powerful PC. Three years ago, a top end PC was around $1000 desktop, $1200 laptop. Now, $450 desktop, around $600 laptop.

Albino red sided was $300, now around $150

A gallon of gasoline was $2.70 and now... oh, nevermind.
