Wow. For the first time in my life I realized that 'per se' is Latin and not French (which there is really no excuse for seeing as I've taken French ). Haha, you learn something new every day...

I must admit, just a few short years ago my interest in Latin was rekindled by a certain young man who uses it on here frequently.

Dendrology and botany do that too to some extent. There are certain plant names that no one can seem to pronounce in a non-offensive way; it gets pretty funny after awhile.
