Nice and sunny here this morning. Yard work is already done. I think I'll go herping just for fun today.

Rain starting up again here. Heavy rain last night. Highs in the low 50's and rain tomorrow.

Our power might be shut off. Anyone want to give me some advice on how to keep my snakes warm while it is off? I'm sure they'll be fine without their lamps and the heater, but sometimes it gets as low as high 40s to low 50s in my room when the heater isn't on at night.

Put in a few soft hides.
Face towel, washcloth or some old fabric of some type.
    They'll love it.

I'm sure they would. I have a washcloth in with Snap and she's almost always under it.

For my new babies, who will hide under the bedding if he heat is lower than 68, would wrapping a blanket or towel around the tank keep some heat in it? I like keeping my snakes pretty warm, especially when it gets so cold at night. I never let my office get under 60 degrees when I can help it.

Well, believe it or not Chantel, they've been surviving those kind of temps for much longer than humans have been around. They're quite well adapted. I wouldn't worry yourself over it. I wouldn't feed them much, if at all if it's going to be cold most of the time. It's difficult if not impossible to properly digest as it gets colder. Other than that, they should be fine.
