That fungus is fugly, those snakes are smokin' hot.

Only after I got home and looked at the photo did I notice the nice fungus growing there. I think it's prettier than the snakes.

Trumpet lichen. Cladonia sp. The snakes are prettier and both the snakes and the lichens are prettier than those fugly T. s. concinnus you're so fond of.

I know better. I forgive you for saying that. You can't help it. We all know there's something wrong with your visual cortex. It probably froze from spending winters in Finland. The fungus is pretty cool though. We get all kinds of weird fungi growing around here and why shouldn't we, it rains 9 months out of the year, and has rained 32 out of the past 35 days or something like that but at least we can't store frozen meat long term outdoors like you can. I photographed some other fungi and I'll post that in the nature photography thread.

There really isn't much that we can take credit for "creating" actually. All we do is artificially select and work with what was already there to begin with. Combo morphs are about the only thing "man made" and even then, they are just the result of combining two morphs that already existed in nature.

Now if you're talking about erythristic or albino flames, then those are the result of taking a red or albino eastern and combining it with a flame. Both of those already exist in the wild but probably wouldn't have been combined without our help. Again, those are combo morphs. All the base morphs you see, even with ball pythons and corn snakes, came straight out of the wild.
