Lovely, maybe I'm psychic. I can see into the future! And I foresee your success in making radix alarm clocks.

Spring time in Iowa. 3 inches last night, 3 inches tomorrow.
It's pretty but I'm tired of it.
    It should be Spring/radix time.

Yeah, you're getting tired of it but at least it's pretty. We're getting pretty weary in the NW too but it's from all the rain. We're about to break the all time record for the most consecutive rainy days and the weather guy seems to think we'll shatter it by quite a few days. It's been raining for a dang month! The very few days it didn't rain, it was still cold, cloudy and windy.

Way overdue for the snakes to be active here. There's just no way. It's too nasty outside even for northwesterns.

It's really sunny out today. Kind of nice and uplifting for my mood.

It was actually extremely hot at my house. It was 80 degrees. Yesterday it was so cold I had my heater up all the way. I love it here...

Did you guys hear about this? Rosy boas are now officially confirmed as occurring in Nevada. It's not that they haven't been found there before, (this specimen was found in Clark county last may) it's just that now it's official.

Out in the new Herp Review Page 115. The complete write is in the journal. This is just the basic.

LICHANURA TRIVIRGATA GRACIA (Desert Rosy Boa) USA: Nevada: Clark Co., 30 May 2010. Paul Lynum and Tony Boudreau. Verified by Carol L. Spencer, Curator of Herpetology, PhD. A single adult female was deposited as a voucher specimen at the Museum of Vertebrate Zoology, Berkeley, CA – museum catalog number MVZ 263987. This animal was found on the road at 11:18AM. This is the first documented record for the state of Nevada, however, this is the sixth animal found by Paul Lynum.

    As it was found:

I'm currently trying to do something similar with ringneck snakes in Clark Co. Washington. Officially, they are extirpated (extinct from the county) last confirmed find was in 1983. However, in recent years people have been finding them. I'm hoping to get this confirmed and made official but so far no luck. I'm going to keep trying.
